Vocabulary
Study JLPT-aligned vocabulary with exposure-only flashcards.
Vocabulary study sits above any one level, so it has its own place here. Flashcards are for study only. Viewing cards does not change your progress. Graded practice — the questions that do build your record — stays inside each level’s own area.

Study N5 flashcardsGraded N5 Vocabulary & Kanji practice is in the N5 area, not here.
N5 is the only level with a vocabulary corpus in this project so far. Other levels will appear here when their words have actually been aligned — there is nothing to preview until then.
Open the N5 deck at a particular set
Each of these opens the same deck filtered by what your graded answers already show. Choosing one changes which cards you see and nothing else: studying a difficult word does not make it less difficult, and viewing a due card does not clear it. Only answering does either.
All words
Every N5-aligned word in the current corpus.
Not yet answered
Words your graded answers have not covered yet.
Difficult so far
Words your recorded answers show difficulty with.
Due for review
Words your review schedule has brought round again.
Recently missed
Words you answered incorrectly recently.
These words are estimated as N5 by this project’s own classifier over JMdict and KANJIDIC2. The JLPT does not publish an official vocabulary list, so this is an estimate, not an official syllabus.
