Accessibility features

NihongoReady is designed to support:

• keyboard navigation throughout the site;
• visible keyboard focus;
• clear headings, labels, and controls for screen readers;
• language information that helps screen readers pronounce Japanese text;
• audio controls that do not play automatically;
• layouts that remain usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.

Known limitations

Timed exam simulations use fixed time limits that cannot currently be adjusted. Other practice and review activities are untimed.

Japanese and English screen-reader pronunciation may vary. Reading mixed-language content depends partly on the screen reader, operating system, and installed voices.
